A reminder of how precious time is
I have to say that I am pretty disappointed in the fact that I have yet to post about Christmas and New Years, our Anniversary or my Dad's 80th Birthday heck even my birthday. All these wonderful things and milestones that I wanted to be able to live in and enjoy just flew by. Recently, we have been struggling a bit. It's hard to start a new business from $0 but we are still hard at work at it. Compound that with the other provider in the house being self employed as well, just stressful. But in recent events we realize that although right now, things could be a lot better for us, they could also be much more trying. I am left with not much more to say. I do however want to get on those other posts. Whether it's for Nadia later in life to read back or I, I want those memories easily accessible. We love you all..... and especially our love to Jessi, Jeremy and precious little Scarlett right now.

December fun
After Dance class we took Nadia to see Santa for the first time! She did great. She went right up to him and told him all the things she wanted for Christmas. A Reindeer, a pink and yellow race car and a mermaid.

Thanksgiving 2011
November was just a hectic month for us. Jacob went out to Colorado for 10 days to work at Jolly and returned on Thanksgiving Day. Nadia and I sure missed him while he was gone! My Mom also took a few falls during that time and ended up breaking her fibula. She dealt with the pain for two days before going in to the Dr. and realizing what had happened. Thankfully my partner at work was able to take my showing appointment's that Monday so I could help my Dad with my Mom. Nadia and I were there everyday that week to help, but my Dad still managed to injure his back while lifting her. My Mom has had a weak left leg since I can remember. She had a slipped disk which in turn pinches nerves and causes her to lose feeling in her left leg. She has always favored her right leg and now here she is with a broken right leg. She isn't the most mobile person under normal circumstances so this really has been a team effort. Now, nearly three weeks later she is still getting around the house in wheelchair but is slowly recovering. I have stopped over quite a bit and made meals for them. My brother Fred and his sister-in-law Nancy also have dropped by with food and help. Hopefully, she will continue getting better. I worry about them trying to do everything on their own. My Dad will never let on how much pain he is in, though I can see it on his face.
For Thanksgiving Nadia and I went to my parents house early and started all of the food. It was only my parents, Nadia and I. I was very excited to pick up Jacob from the airport that day! After we had all the food done Nadia and I headed to the airport. We parked and went inside to meet Jacob as he exited his gate. My plan was to surprise him, but we called once he got off the plane so I could talk him through the airport. LOL. After our hello's we headed back to my parents for our Thanksgiving dinner. I have to say though, it just doesn't feel the same without a group of family. Growing up we always had large holiday dinners and I miss that. It was still a great meal, if I do say so myself :)
Nadia really enjoyed watching her Opa carve the Turkey and tasting a few pieces as they went.
I will post a few photos of our November fun below.

| While Jacob was in Colorado Nadia decided she was big enough to not use her toilet seat cover. She was also really mad at me for taking this picture! lol |

Trick or Trunk Halloween
This year we took Nadia to the Trick or Trunk at a local park. There were quite a lot of people there and many activities for the kids. I stood in line for the trick or treating while Nadia and Daddy played at the park. I am glad I am learning to do that because the line was VERY long. As soon is it was slightly dark the kids were able to start through the line. After we were through we went to the activities section. Nadia kept saying she wanted to go in the jump house but as soon as we got up to it she changed her mind. Below are pictures of activities she did play and even won at!

Nadia's May Recital
I cannot believe that I didn't post photos from Nadia's May recital! She was a sunflower and did much better this time than she did for the Christmas one last year. They are starting rehearsals for her Christmas recital this year and it should be entertaining :) I also recently noticed that she is featured in the photos section of Club Dance's website. She is just adorable! http://clubdancestudio.com/pictures.html
