This weekend was awesome!
There has been so much that has gone on since last week. I can't even explain how excited we are right now! This last weekend was great! Jacob called my Dad and asked for his blessing to propose to me. It was all very cute! We have gone through so many changes over these last few months and everything just keeps getting better and better. We have not decided on a date yet, I always thought that getting married on New Years Eve would be cool, so we will see if it will this year or next. I'm sure a lot of places are booked! I am actually in shock right now. I just can't believe where life has taken us! I know that some people may be in shock, even a little concerned LOL. Life isn't worth living without a little adventure :)

New Beginnings
Time for a fresh start!

I have to say that the move to Arizona was quite trying. If it wasn't for Jacob putting on the pressure to move I don't think I would have been able to do it. Now that we are here and settled in it finally feels like home.
We moved into our house site unseen and were very happily surprised with what my parents had picked out. We came out a couple weeks before we planned on moving to look at houses and found one we liked. It was just too far away from work though. So we sent my parents out all over Phoenix to look at houses for us. There were quite a few that they liked, but we had so many stipulations. Had to have a pool, a walk in closet, and of course accept 2 dogs. One being VERY large. The house we got is perfect! Big bedrooms, very roomy, pool and grass for the dogs. So many backyards here have rock, well in the summer with 120 degree weather, they can burn their feet!

The first few weeks Jacob would just go sit outside at night by the pool. We have a pretty view of the golf course and a lake behind us. With the waterfall on the pool going and watching the lake it is very peaceful. I am still getting used to the fact that it is 100 degrees at night here. I am so used to walking outside at night and it being a little chilly. It is actually pretty nice. We are thankful that we have a pool.

We have been pretty busy the last few months. My parents are so excited to have us down here. We go to their house almost every weekend to bbq and swim. My brother and his family are usually there to, I am happy to be around a lot of family. I really missed that over the years. On that same note, I do feel an obligation to see them as much as possible and that gives us very little down time. A couple weekends ago they came up to our house and I cooked. Jacob was on call that day and got home just as the food was done. Perfect timing! I would like it if they could come up to our house a little more. I feel bad leaving the dogs home all the time on the weekends when they are already alone all week.
Jacob has been working for a company not far from the house, but has been working all the time. I feel really bad for him actually. He gets up at 430 to go to work and one night he didn't even get home until 8. That is just too long of a day. Yes, the money is good and thats what keeps him going, but I don't want him to wear himself out. I know the company is very thankful to have him, I think its time for a raise! He is working on new construction homes that on average 30-40,000 sqft. that is freaking huge! These houses are amazing! We has taken me to a couple different ones. Man, would I like to know what those people do for a living.
I am working at a mortgage company not too far from the house. It is hard to find work that is close enough that you don't have to get on the highway. Phoenix is huge and if I had to guess I would say there are about 10 different highways to get around out here. It was very hard at me out here at first. I went from working 2 jobs, making good money to having no job. I thought it would be nice just getting a break, but I actually got pretty depressed and missed working. I really miss my nail clients and the people from Engle. Slowly we are getting out and meeting people. My bestfriend Corre came out to visit last weekend, we had a lot of fun. We went to towntown Tempe and Scottsdale. I was sad to see her go. We have kept in touch and talk everyday, but I miss her a ton. We just introduced her to one of Jacobs friends and they have been hitting things off. We are so excited for them!

Well I guess thats enough for now...
