Oh baby

Today was a busy day as I expected. I drove up to Scottsdale this morning to meet my boss at his house. He had a LOT of stuff for me to do and since he had a lot to do he left me there all by myself! Ahh, I had a few questions but I figured it out myself pretty well. Turns out that the other assistant he hired has decided to move back to Alaska so he quit today. Looks like I have a whole lot on my plate now! I left there about 1 to get down to my Drs appt. My parents met me there and we went in for my ultrasound. The baby looked so much bigger! She was moving around like crazy though so we didn't get that many clear photos :( She was also facing my back, so there isn't a clear picture of her face. I got to see a glimpse before she turned, but the ultrasound tech wasn't able to capture it. They confirmed again that we are having a girl, and they did admit that the reason we were doing this ultrasound was to confirm all of the chambers of the heart, which they weren't able to see last time. Everything looks very good. She weighs 1 lb 7oz, I can't believe how much she grew in a month! About the only picture that is worth sharing is her little foot.

Get to see our baby!

Jacob finally just got home from work and its 730. I have been missing him!!! He has been working a lot of long hours lately. My boss called me and asked if my husband and I would like tickets to the Diamondbacks game tonight, I told him that it was very nice to think of us, but Jacob wouldn't be home till late. I have to say, my boss really is a nice guy. I have a pretty busy day tomorrow. I have to go up to Scottsdale to help my boss with his marketing. What I am most excited about is having another ultrasound done tomorrow! Jacob will be at work for this one, so my parents are going to meet me there. I know that my Mom is really excited to be there and see everything. Thats about all to for today, I am going to make Jacob dinner, but I will post new pictures of our baby tomorrow!!

Forgetful

Work has been fairly easy for me the past few days, which I must say has been nice. I had to drive down to a house today to make sure that it had been cleaned out and ready to list. I remembered to take pictures of everything but the front of the house! Damn pregnancy brain! So I have to drive back down there tomorrow just to take a picture, Geez! The other day I was asked what I did before I got my new job and I couldn't even remember. I felt to stupid, I had to look at Jacob and ask him "what did I do before this job?" he laughed at me of course. After I stopped by the house I met up with Jacob for lunch. Then I headed home to finish up my work. I ended up spending a LOT of time online at Babies R Us. People are starting to ask me where I am registered at and I figured I should probably start adding some things to the registry. The problem is, I really have no idea what the heck I'm doing. This is the problem I had the last time I tried to do this. I managed to add stuff but it seems like everything is SO expensive! I don't want people to think I'm only about getting expensive items, but its actually hard to put the things that you need on there without it being pricey. I guess anyone who has a little one of their own will understand. I am getting pretty excited about going out to Colorado in a few weeks. Steve wants us to invite whoever we want over on Friday night so that we can see all of our friends. It will be weird for us to stay in that house, especially for Jacob since that was his home for so long. We are just excited to get to see everyone, and of course I am getting especially excited about my baby shower!

Our 3 day weekend, kinda

This weekend was so nice, the weather only got to about 90 so it was perfect to be able to sit around outside. Saturday Jacob had to go to for work, nothing too hard for him to do though so not a big deal. He will most likely have to work on Saturdays. That night we watched There will be blood. Jacob really liked it, but it was just too long for me. I lost interest after about an hour and a half.

Sunday I made breakfast and then we went to Super Target before heading over to my parents house. My brother his family, his in-laws and some of my parents friends were there. The kids were having a great time in the pool and I was just enjoying relaxing. I am definitely starting to get into the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy, I know it will get much worse though. It seems that there is always something that aches or just plain hurts. I know that the baby cannot possibly be up in my ribs yet, but I have had this pain on my right side that feels like it goes from my diaphragm down to my ribs and along the side of my belly. I'm sure this is just my body stretching, but I'm over it!! LOL I know I don't have much of a choice :) Anyway, this made my visit with everyone not so enjoyable, by 6 I was very ready to go home and lay in bed. Jacob had so much fun playing in the pool that he was fast asleep by 7.

Monday Jacob was up bright and early and for once woke me up! We went grocery shopping and to the pet store and then came home and enjoyed a day all alone together.

Rainy days

Ever since our company left it has been cool and rainy here. It is actually really nice! We had 3 days of 108 weather so this cool spell is much needed although not normal. Work has been busy, but good. I was up in Scottsdale today. Everyone seems to freak out when it rains, you would think it was a blizzard! Jacob got his work vehicle today and is on his way home now. He will probably have a few calls tomorrow, but we both have Monday off so we will still get a weekend together. It will give me time to clean the house tomorrow. The floors are a mess!

Not much else to really blog about, but I will include a few photos :) The purse that Jacob bought me that he is VERY proud of.
The most recent picture of my baby belly at 22 weeks.

Quiet time

Jacob had a pretty good birthday. After I was done with my work at home I picked them up and took them to a bar in Scottsdale while I was at the office up there. When I got back their friend Justin had joined them and Lisa came by shortly after. The boys wanted to go to a different place so we headed back down towards our house and we finished watching the game there. Then we went over to Dos Gringos. I hadn't been feeling right all day but I really didn't want to concern anyone. Turns out once we got to Dos Gringos I noticed that I was bleeding. I decided it was best that I leave everyone there and head home. Once I got home I was debating on whether to go to the hosptial or not, I really didn't want to go, but if something was wrong I would've felt bad that I didn't go. By the time I got myself ready to leave the boys had got a cab back to the house and were insisting on going with me. I know their hearts were in the right place, but that wasn't the best idea :) Jacob was pretty upset that I wouldn't let him go, and I did feel bad, but at the same time he wasn't in any shape to go anywhere. So off I went and turns out that everything is ok. I had just torn my cervix and the bleeding had stopped. The pains I was feeling are just normal pregnancy pains and I can't do much about them, but I needed to rest more. I had been pretty active the days before taking the guys all around and I guess being that I have had a complication before I need to really watch myself. So maybe all that walking and activity wasn't the smartest idea, along with climbing in and out of Jacobs truck a million times a day. I went to the Dr. today and everything seems fine. So no worries, but if it happens again I have to go in again. I felt horrible that everything happened on Jacobs birthday, but I guess thats not the type of thing I can really control either. I can say that I am looking forward to having some quiet time!

Happy Happy Birthday

I will try to make this as short as possible since I have SO much work to do! So far everyone has been having a great time and the boys are off celebrating Jacobs birthday now. I dropped them off at a sports bar, which is nice, I have the house nice and quiet so I can get some work done!

Friday we picked up Will from the airport and I dropped them off at the Fashion Square Mall while I went in to the office in Scottsdale. I was gone a few hours and came back to pick them up. Jacob returned with a gift in tow for me. Instead of heading right to the bar, the boys went shopping for me. That CRAZY man went and bought me a Dooney and Bourke purse! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but I can't believe that he went and spent that much money. I am not one to buy myself anything that expensive. They said it is my gift for "babysitting" them for 5 days. I think I might very well be earning it too! LOL. We went to the Salty Senorita after that then headed back towards our end of town. We came back to the house played some Wii, they drank, then we went out at 10 to get something to eat.

Saturday morning the boys were ready to go right away. Will made us all breakfast and then we went down to my parents so they could hang out by the pool and drink. We left about 2 to go home and get ready for the Diamondback game. My boss gave me tickets and the seats were pretty good! By the time the game was over I was pretty exhausted and my ankles looked like tree trunks from walking so much.

Sunday everyone behaved themselves LOL they were pretty drained from the previous days. We went to breakfast then to my parents. Will went golfing with my Dad and we hung around the pool while they were gone. When they came back my Dad made steaks and we had a birthday cake for Jacob. My Mom made a special cake that Jacob loves. We came home and everyone was passed out by 630.

Today we went to breakfast and then I dropped the boys off at a bar/restaurant down the street. I am going to finish up work and then go pick them back up. I'm not sure what the plan is after that but I'm sure it will require a LOT of patience on my end! Really they aren't bad, its nice to see Jacob having fun with friends!

Get ready for a crazy weekend

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted...... We had a wonderful Mothers Day, I got a lot of motherly wishes LOL. We went down to my parents house for brunch at the country club. My brother and Rick were there along with a few of my Moms friends. It was nice, good food, we sat outside under the misters, which was fine until it was about 1:30 and starting to get a little warm for me. I'm telling you, I get overheated pretty quickly! We came home and got the house ready for the guests that we will be having this weekend. We also put up some decorations that I have been slacking at putting up.

Monday I had the girl that was training me over to the house and the new assistant that is working up in Scottsdale. We went through all the properties we have and dictated who would be doing what. I really like the girl that was training me, but she is so ADD she can't keep on one topic and it makes it hard. We worked it out though and I think we will be fine. Jack headed back up to Scottsdale to start on work that needed to be done ASAP and she stayed with me about another hour just to make sure I felt comfortable doing what I needed to do. I was very busy that day, but I LOVE it. I love having something to do and it's even better when I can do it at home! Jacob didn't get home until about 7 that night. By that time he found me soaking in the bathtub, my back does hurt after sitting at the computer all day, of course I think it would hurt no matter what I did LOL.

Tuesday I had to run down to one of the properties we have at work and I wasn't sure about the neighborhood, so my Dad volunteered to meet me there. Turns out the neighborhood was fine, it was just the house they had trashed. I swear with these bank owned properties you don't know what you are going to get! We both couldn't believe the backyard on this house, it was enormous. My Dad enjoys going along with me, he says its exciting :) Too cute. I did a little shopping on my way back from the house and picked myself up a few more pants and shirts. I think this is something I am going to have to do more often than I thought!

Yesterday I had to go up to Scottsdale to have a meeting with the agent I am working for, Jesse and the other assistant, Jack. Jesse gave me a Garmin so that I can get around town easier so I put in the address we were to meet at and was on my way. Just as I was exiting Shea he called and gave me directions to a different house he decided to meet at. Geez! I liked having it mapped out! I am getting a LOT better about finding my way around, but Phoenix is huge. I found them and had to walk up this long steep driveway, I'm thinking Hello!!! I'm pregnant here LOL I was huffing and puffing pretty good by the time I got to the top. The house was really nice, in Paradise Vally, it was one of Jesse's listings so he showed us through it and then we sat down to go over our tasks and set goals. He wants to bring me in as his assistant on his personal listings as well as his bank owned so it looks like I will be driving to Scottsdale 2 times a week to work at his home office. He also mentioned that once we get things running smoothly he wants to talk about a raise, he doesn't want me leaving and wants to make it more "worth my while" to stay. Fine by me! After our meeting was over I went back home to work and started dinner at about 4. Jacob got home pretty early last night which was nice.

Today I may be going up to Scottsdale again, I need to call him this morning. Jacob should be getting his work vehicle today too, so I may be driving him up to N Phoenix anyway. Steve is coming in today instead of tomorrow so we will have to arrange a way to pick him up at the airport around 3:30 I think. Should be a pretty busy day! Will comes in tomorrow afternoon so I'm not sure what the weekend will consist of but we have a few plans. Guess I'll cut this off now and get my butt to working!

Great start to the weekend

Jacob started his new job Wednesday and he just LOVES it. He said he should've done this a long time ago, but at least now he isn't stressed out about finding a job he likes. I started my job on Thursday and I think I am really going to like it. Since I have so much experience I have really caught on quickly to the listing programs out here. He also hired another assistant to help with the Scottsdale stuff so I shouldn't have to drive up there much. The past two days I have been with the girl that is training me so Monday she is coming over to our house Monday and let me take the reins. I met the other assistant today too and hopefully we get get things running smoothly.

Other than our new jobs not a whole lot has been going on. We really enjoyed the time off that we had together. Jacob even said that is the longest he has ever spent with anyone and not gotten into one disagreement LOL This weekend we will get the guest rooms ready for Steve and Will. They get in Friday and are staying until Wednesday. I'm not sure exactly what we are doing to celebrate Jacobs birthday but I'm sure we will find something!

How time flys

We worked on the babies room a little on Sunday. Put up all the new things we had bought and tried to get ideas on what else we can do. It is so fun and exciting getting to do all of this! We did end up meeting back up with the Rock's for some mini golf and dinner. It was pretty warm out, but we tried to choose the side that had the most shade. I haven't gone miniature golfing in quite a while so I was very rusty! Poor Jacob got eaten alive by bugs, but we had fun. Dinner was very good and as usual I had lots to bring home which Jacob always loves. We had gone up to Scottsdale to meet up with them so by the time we got home it was pretty late. I took a shower and feel right asleep. Jacob didn't even play any Wii, amazing!

Yesterday Jacob and I did a lot of running around together. We are really enjoying have all of this free time with each other. He went on his job interview and came out feeling much better about this company than the last. It is a salary position with bonuses so that is a plus. We went out for lunch afterwards and while we were eating he got a call from the owners wife (and receptionist) he thinks she told him that everything looked good and he would be starting Wednesday but her husband would still be calling him today to talk things over. She has a HEAVY Russian accent so I had to laugh when he said he wasn't exactly sure. Her name is Nadia, exactly what we are picking for our little one!

Great weather and lots of shopping

We had a very busy day yesterday, but we had a blast. We meet up with Peter, Marcia, Katy, Brianna and Ashlyn for breakfast at about 8. We went to The Egg and I. Jacob got to get his favorite breakfast :) Afterwards we drove back to our house so they could see it and to drop off our car. We talked a little bit about the baby shower that they are having for me in June. I really don't have a lot of input to give them, I'm pretty easy going and I have only been to one baby shower. I am just so appreciative that they wanted to do this for me. They showed me the theme they were thinking of going with and it is just adorable!

There is a swap meet close by our house that we had never been to so we all went up to check it out. I think it is something we could've skipped LOL It took a while to walk all around it, but not a whole lot of things anyone was interested in. We stopped by a beauty supply store to pick up some products for the girls, but they didn't have everything that we were looking for. On our way to the next supplier we stopped at The Coffee Bean. I love that place, but I don't go there often, I really should. The next supplier we went to had almost everything, but Katy was still left without what she was looking for. I have to say, I love the perks of having a license, I can buy everything at cost. By this time it was almost noon so we headed over to IKEA for some shopping. Jacob was so cute carrying Ashlyn around everywhere. With how in love with her he is I can't imagine how he will be with our little girl, so cute! Everyone found something they wanted and after a couple hours we were done with lots of items in tow. We found some very cute things for the babies room. We were all pretty hungry by then and everyone had been wanting to go to Oregano's. I think we ended up getting there at about 4 and it was already starting to get busy. We all loved our food and Jacob was especially excited that he got to take home everyones leftovers since the portions are so large. He was a little bummed that Katy kept her pizza, but we can always go back LOL. On the way home we drove by the hospital I will be delivering at. Its only about a 15 minute drive, I'm sure when I'm in labor it will seem like eternity though! We came back to our house to sit around and talk. Jacob was already taking all of the baby stuff we got out of the packages and arranging them in the room. I know all I say is how excited he is, but it is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

We really enjoyed our day together. It makes us sad to see everyone go, and reminds us of how much we miss everyone. We may get to see them before they leave, but they are pretty busy visiting with Peters Mom too. Today I am moving all of my stuff out of the salon. It is such a relief for me. I spoke with the girl that will be training me for my new job and we are going to start training on Thursday instead. Fine by me! We were going to train for a week and then I was going to have a week off, but I would rather do it this way, that way it's fresh in my brain. Jacob has another job interview to go on Monday, so he is going to call the company he was supposed to start at and ask to postpone his start date. There are quite a few companies hiring out here so it's best he interviews at as many as possible and pick the one that feels right.

Lovely

Yesterday morning we woke up and drove up to Scottsdale to meet Peter, Marcia, Katy, Brianna and Ashlyn for breakfast. We went to the Good Egg, which we have never been to before, but it was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed our nice warm weather as they got a call from Steve saying it was snowing back in Colorado LOL. Now I think Steve is disappointed he didn't come down, he will be here in just a few weeks though. They bought us our first baby girl gifts, a "I love my Daddy" onesie and a pretty pink blanket. So sweet of them to do that. We sat a talked for quite a while and then we headed back to our side of town for Jacob to drop off some paperwork at his new job.

Turns out he is going to be the head of the Service Department there. The only downsides for him are he has a company vehicle, but it stays at the shop, it is HUGE. He will have to wear long sleeve shirts which will be a little warm in the summer, but he will be mostly inside. He will also be taking out all of his "hardware" as my Mom puts it LOL. He is looking into a career change so all of this would have come in down the line, it's just happening a little sooner. He starts on Monday, he is a little nervous with the pressure of being the lead man, but I have all the confidence in the world. He knows his stuff, he has been doing this a LONG time, and if a better job offer comes along who's to say he can't it instead. He also needs to talk to them about getting time off in June. I hope they don't have an issue with that!

After leaving his new work we went to his old work for him drop off a few items and to go over our COBRA insurance with them. Turns out since we had been paying my full insurance premium anyway the price increase was not very drastic. We were paying a good penny before, don't get me wrong, but at least we still have coverage. We drove to gym to cancel our memberships being that we live so far away and there are two down the street from us only to find out you cancel online. So we headed out for lunch. I have been craving soup, salad and bread sticks from The Olive Garden. We had a pretty busy day and not a good nights sleep the night before, so we took naps. I woke up at about 6:30 and Jacob at 7:30. This wasn't good! I watched Ugly Betty and then Greys of course.

I may have forgot to mention in all of the good news that when we were at Target getting the disk to record my ultrasound we came across something AMAZING. Yes, they had Wii's in stock. So Jacob got his Wii birthday gift after all. He has been up until 2 both nights playing. We were both sore yesterday after playing all of the sports games LOL. We weren't sure what games to buy so he picked out Super Mario Galaxy and has the thing almost beat, crazy man!

Today I we are going to Babies R Us to register for things and I think we will check out Target to see if we can get him some long sleeve shirts and me some shorts. I found some good deals there the other day, but I should've tried it on, I bought it WAY too big.
