Where does the time go

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have blogged. Life is just a little crazy around our house. Jacob has been working long hours and Nadia is just adorable as always but has become much more needy since her teething. I have to admit, I enjoy the snuggling that she wants now because she is not always a snugly girl. She is working on her second tooth now, what a trooper. She is infatuated with the dogs and has learned for the most part to pet them nicely. Max has really taken to Nadia which has made Dax come around more. Max has turned out to be a good fit for us. I did have to buy him a kennel to put him in when we leave the house, but only because he doesn't know the difference between Nadia's toy and his. Nadia did get a hold of his little beard and he didn't make one peep. Nadia's favorite thing to do is sit on the floor and play with her toys. She really enjoys being sang to and tries to sing along as best she can. She says Momma, Dad and Oh Gah. Not sure what the Oh Gah is but she says it a lot. She hasn't shown an interest in crawling but that could be because she hates to be on her belly.

Work has been going well for both of us. We really feel pretty lucky considering what other people are going through right now. I closed on my second house and have another couple I am taking out on Thursday. All of our extra money is going in our house fund for our down payment. Thankfully with me closing a few homes we should be able to save up what we need to buy in July. We found our dream house Sat. It was just awesome! We just cannot wait!

We bought Nadia her own pool so that she could enjoy the warm weather. She loved sitting in it and playing.

Nadia's first Easter

Nadia is nearly seven months old, I cannot believe it! She loved her Easter eggs, mostly to chew on. We had a pretty uneventful day, we were supposed to meet up with the family, but I was not feeling very well. I did manage to make us a nice breakfast and some appetizers for later in the day. We played with Nadia on her new play mat we bought her and watched Yes Man. We have been so busy lately it was nice to rest.

I got paid on my first AZ closing, so we went to IKEA and the mall to get things that we have been wanting/needing. We had been wanting a large area rug for the family room since we have hardwood floors. There were quite a few other things I wanted, but Jacob reasoned with me. We will be in a new house soon, he is right. Which brings me to the fact that I am going NUTS listing all these houses at work and not being able to act on them. We are only a few short months away, it is exciting for us to finally be able to own again. It is so hard going from owning a house, or a few in our case and then having to rent. We will be happy to get some roots down.

A new addition

It feels like so much has happened since I last blogged. I haven't been keeping up very well lately. The Rock's came out and visited. We had a great time shopping, visiting and going out to eat with them. Brianna, Katy and I went out to Dos Gringos in Scottsdale one night. It was nice to get out, I haven't been out by myself since we moved out here. Crazy! Good thing Jacob and I have a good relationship or that might drive me batty. We had a great time and had the guys pick us up so we weren't worried about driving anywhere.

I have been pretty busy at Real Estate, I closed my first deal out here so I am pretty excited. I have another deal that is supposed to close the end of this month, so things are going well. Jacobs work is busy as always and he loves it.

Since Howie has been gone I have been having a hard time during my alone time. When Nadia is asleep I have found myself getting very sad that I don't have my little buddy to cuddle with. We were going to wait to get another dog, but I starting looking anyway. I found a lot of dogs, but I didn't want one that looked like Howie, just resembled him. Jacob met up with the people on Thursday after work and brought him home. His name is Max, which is very comical if you ask me. It took about 30 minutes for him to warm up to me, but he is a very lovey dog. He and Dax get along great, in fact he is giving Dax a run for his money. We are happy to see Dax out playing again and even though I still get sad about Howie it is nice having another pup around the house. It is also our first dog together, which has a nice feeling.

My Mom went into the hospital with Pneumonia last week, she is out now and recovering at home. We went over there today to visit. She loves to see Nadia, it just brightens her day. We bought Nadia 2 new swimming suits and a floaty seat for the pool. She had a WONDERFUL time. She just loves the water! I am going to have to get us into swimming lessons for sure!
