Happy Fathers Day

Jacob had last weekend off so we took advantage by taking a look at a few houses. We are still trying to narrow which subdivisions we like and of course we found a home that we absolutely loved! Houses go so fast though, we know it won't be around in another couple weeks, but it makes it exciting.

Sunday Nadia and I woke up and started making Jacob breakfast. We made him hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs, coffee and juice. Thankfully Jacob sleeps like a rock and we were able to set everything up in the bedroom and then wake him up. We all sat in bed and had breakfast together. I had to go up to Scottsdale to let someone in a house we sold then we stopped at the Train park. Nadia and Jacob had a lot of fun on the carousel then we went on the train ride. Nadia loved feeling the wind on her face, her and Jacob have a lot of roller coaster rides in the future! We stopped at home, let the dogs out and picked up the food I made to bring to my parents. My brother and his family were there along with sister-in-law and her family. It was a great turn out, everyone swam, ate and got to relax. Nadia had a great time showing everyone how she likes to stand and try to walk. Jacob thanked me for a wonderful Fathers Day, I just wanted to make it special for him!

I had to go up to a house in Gold Canyon to do a final walk through for one of my clients yesterday. I closed a house yesterday and got another contract accepted, so it was a good day for me! I have really been blessed, I am thankful that I found a wonderful group of people to work with. Without their help and the leads they give me I would not be as successful.

Playing catch up

I have to start this post with saying Nadia has got some speed! That little girl runs me ragged during the day. The problem is once she learns something new she wants to move on to the next. Now that she can crawl she is only interested in standing. Her crawl is very cute, in fact, I'm going to record it right now so you can see.I'm not sure why she won't move her other leg behind her, but it works for her. She still loves to dance and it surprises me every time that she can get the beat down on any song. She also loves to clap, but hasn't taken an interest in waving yet. She is constantly saying Mom, momma but has forgotten how to say Dad, daddy. Poor Jacob!

Jacob had the weekend off so we wanted to take advantage. We decided early Sat morning that we were going to Tombstone. I got online to book us a hotel and packed while Jacob went to get the car ready. We had a great time there, our favorite part was the ghost tour. Our tour guide knew the actual history in Tombstone beyond the shoot out at the OK corral. He wasn't a weirdo that told stories trying to scare you and didn't make false promises about seeing a ghost. We wanted to hang around after the tour and ghost hunt ourselves but it was 10 and Nadia needed to go to bed. She did wonderfully all day and night, but I am kinda a stickler about trying my best to keep her on her schedule. The next morning we woke up and visited the cemetery as well as the Bird Cage Theater, we enjoyed seeing that as well. We left after we had lunch, it was the perfect amount of time to be there.

We are starting to get anxious about moving in a couple months. Our lease is up the end of August so the time to start looking for a house is coming up. Unfortunately we found out that in AZ regardless of if I'm on the loan or not my debt is, but my income isn't. If we do put me on the loan I still cannot use my income because I am technically self employed and have not sold homes in AZ for over 2yrs. It isn't a horrible situation, but now we find ourselves scrambling to pay off as many of our bills as possible while keeping money saved for the down payment. Mind you, I technically still own a home in CO, that debt does count against me. I can prove that I haven't paid on it in over 2yrs so we should be able to get it cleared. I am so glad that we spoke with a good lender so we didn't run into this problem during underwriting!

Oh, I almost forgot! Jacob and I have been working out the past few weeks. I can say that it is kicking both our butts, but we are seeing results. It is not easy for me to lose weight and when I look of pictures from when Jacob and I first met I get sick! I can gain weight very easily and I know that, but I had let myself go, drinking whatever and whenever and doing the same with food. I had lost 30 pounds when I was 20 and kept it off for 7 years, why did I let myself gain it back! I am so excited that I am starting to fit into clothes again, and most importantly lose some of my double chin! I have one no matter how skinny I am, one of those Lewis' traits, but my God I would like to have a chin again! LOL
