Being in Limbo and practice time

I can't believe she is almost 1! She loves to walk around the house holding your hand. This of course kills my back, but how can you resist that little hand! :) Nadia is growing up more and more everyday. I just love to watch her personality develop. I wish everyone could come out here for her 1st birthday. We want it to be special and for everyone to see how much she has grown! Tammy is coming out to visit on Tuesday for a week. I can't wait to see her with Nadia!

The last few weeks have been a little nerve wracking not to mention a complete roller coaster ride. We are pretty much in limbo with trying to buy a house because we know the one we want, it just isn't listed yet. There is still a chance that when they list it they may decide to up the list price from what we recommended. This means, we could be waiting for our dream house to get it, or to find out its too expensive. Talk about stressful.. Do we put in an offer on another house that we like in fear the other one will be too expensive? This is something we have been struggling with. Our lease is up the end of this month, we can stay with my parents, but it takes 30-45 days to close. If we don't have a contract by the end of this month that guarantees a 1-2 month stay with them. It wouldn't be soo bad, but remember we have Dax and Max. Dax can't roam around my parents house. So I contacted the prop management co and asked if they would consider a month extension. We were looking forward to saving that money and getting our deposit back before getting into the new house. There are a lot of decisions to be made!

I have been pondering ideas for Nadia's 1st birthday.(We were also hoping to be in our new home for this.) I kinda knew what type of cake I wanted her to have and I decided I was going to attempt it. I found a recipe that didn't seem too hard and with the internet, a few friends tips and things I had remembered myself, I made a pretty cute cake. Granted, it looks MUCH better in pictures and it is not great, but I'm glad I made a practice one so I know what to do different. I had no idea what the design was even going to be, I made it up as I went along. Next time, I will be much more planned in the design. Jacob and I stayed up late into the night trying to figure out what designs we would make. He made her name and the number 1 and I decorated them with his help. Its too much fun to do things like that with each other for our daughter. :)
