Nadia's May Recital

I cannot believe that I didn't post photos from Nadia's May recital! She was a sunflower and did much better this time than she did for the Christmas one last year. They are starting rehearsals for her Christmas recital this year and it should be entertaining :) I also recently noticed that she is featured in the photos section of Club Dance's website. She is just adorable! http://clubdancestudio.com/pictures.html

Dora at the Phoenix Zoo

Nadia has always been a fan of Dora and Diego. We have season passes to the zoo and now that the weather is cooling off a bit we can actually go. They were having a special Fisher Price weekend with all types of activities. Sunday their guest was Dora. We woke up early and Nadia was very excited, talking all the way there about Dora. We kept telling her that Dora was going to be a big girl, and she was! We got there as soon as the zoo opened and I noticed a small line forming next to a red tent. I decided to stand there while Jacob took Nadia into another tent to play. Good thing I did! It was the line for Dora and I swear that thing grew in seconds. Here are a couple pictures of Nadia, Dora and I. Nadia wanted to know why Dora wouldn't talk. LOL

She loves this!

Nadia's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Nadia's 3rd birthday at my parents this year so she could have a swim party. Our good friends Justin and Lisa came as well as Mark, his daughter Cheylynn, my brother and his kids. She had a great time with special Snickers and Peanut Butter and Jelly cupcakes. We got her a Power wheel Escalade that she loves to drive around the backyard. I think her favorite gift is her wagon from Oma and Opa. She also got a butterfly outfit from my sister Monica and her husband Joey. I have made her wait to wear it because its the perfect Halloween costume and I don't want her to lose any pieces :)
Mama get your suit on so we can swim!

Dusty was a very good sport about riding in the wagon.

Our Labor Day Colorado Vacation

There is so much to say about our vacation. We had a wonderful time with all of our family and friends. Nadia spent a few days with her Grandma, Grandpa and family in Cripple Creek. The last few days of our vacation we spent in Denver with Jacobs cousin Jeremy, his wife Jessi and adorable Scarlett. Here are a few pictures of our visit. Including all the kids at the Denver Museum and afterwards dinner at the Denver Aquarium.

Jacob's License is official

On August 26, 2011 Jacob passed his test and all requirements for his plumbing license, but it was quite a wait for the approval process at the state level. Every day we were checking the website in hopes we would see Active instead of license pending. He was working late one night and we had both checked the website earlier in the day. While on the phone with him at 8:30pm I decided to check again. I couldn't control my gasp and screamed OMG! He, concerned wanted to know what happened and I quickly tried to think of some explanation since I didn't want him to find out over the phone. Something about Nadia doing something to Dax. I made no sense and he later told me I did not play it off very well. I printed off his Active license and posted it on the front door. Here is his reaction :) So proud of my husband!
