This weekend went by so fast, but then every weekend seems to with Jacob only having one day off a week. I had taken both dogs to get groomed on Thursday. Dax is now shaved and VERY itchy, I feel bad for him but at the same time he is driving me insane! We took them with us on Saturday night to my parents house. We celebrated fathers day since we had so much to get together before leaving for Colorado. My Dad made some steaks and my mom made the rest. It was very good and my Dad requested that I make him his favorite cake so I did. I was disappointed that all the butterscotch chips had fallen to the bottom though. Sunday we got up and had to clean up the backyard. Since Jacob is working so much and 115 is too hot for me to be outside doing yard work we hired landscapers. They start on Tuesday, but we had to get out in the backyard and pull most of the weeds since it was so out of control. They wanted WAY too much money to do that part, so we hired them to come bi-monthly for maintenance. It will be such a relief for Jacob, and we won't have to worry about anything. After I had scooped half the poop, the scooper broke. I was fine with this because I was getting way too hot! I wanted to help as much as I could though. I came inside and took a cold shower, this is when we miss our pool. We just have to remind ourselves that saving $500 a month is a big deal. Soon after, Jacob was inside showering and we headed off to do some shopping. We had a wedding gift to pick up and a birthday gift, plus we ended up getting more things for Nadia's room and a few for us. Before we knew it the day was almost over.
I checked into Real Estate school today and I talked to my boss about it. We agreed that I should start as soon as I get back from Colorado and I am going to take the 10 day full time class to just knock it out. Most of our houses are under contract so he wants me to get my license now since I have almost everything set for at least a month. I am pretty excited about it and know that the potential to make some good money is just around the corner. I will sign a year contract with him, so at least I know when I'm ready to come back to work after the baby comes I will for sure have a job LOL, and he knows I will come back. I have a guaranteed salary that I will make a month, plus commission so I really feel like this is a great opportunity. We finally feel like after being out here a year we are getting settled and doing a lot better. I know it usually takes about that long when you move somewhere, but it was a hard year! When our lease is up next March I think that we should be in a good position to try to buy a house. With me having the heads up on these bank owned properties we just might be able to snag a good deal too. Of course, who knows if we will be ready to move with a 6 month old! I also signed us up for our childbirth prep class and baby your baby class. Both aren't until the beginning of August, but I'm sure that will sneak up pretty fast.
