Our new car

Well its Saturday and Jacob is of course working :) We have both been very busy with work and haven't had time to do much else. Thursday he did get off early enough for us to go test drive a few more vehicles. We finally had narrowed down our top picks. We weren't even going to look at a few of them just because we had seen others on the road and didn't particularly like the way they looked, but I'm glad we did. We actually found a car that we both really like even though it was a model we thought we wouldn't. After test driving a few and getting extremely annoyed at the last dealership we were at, we went home to talk about what we liked the best. We really liked the sales person at the dealership too, so it was a great situation. We decided on a 08 Ford Escape. The V6 over the 4 cylinder, and while we thought we didn't want leather seats or a sunroof the one we found came pretty much fully loaded. The tan leather actually stays pretty cool, and I have found I can slide in and out a lot easier LOL. The whole interior is light in color, so that will definitely help keep it cool here in AZ. Even the small amount of black I had in my Land Rover just made it cook in there! It is a little more roomy than my Land Rover and Dax fits fine in the back, so we are all good to go. We can tow our whole family! It turns out to be a great deal all around, after both of our trades we ended up being able to put money down and end up with a smaller car payment than we had, insurance is less and we have a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. It has the Sirius already built in so Jacob can use his for his work vehicle. We got everything we were looking for and more. So, while we will DEARLY miss Jacobs truck, it helps that we really came out on top. As he said, there is nothing else that he would have given his truck up for than the baby and I. Is that sweet?? LOL
