Well quite a lot has happened since the last time I wrote. Jacob had three days off for the 4th and we had a great time together. Thursday I went up to Scottsdale to the office to drop off files and then my parents met me at the house to take me shopping. They wanted to buy us our car seat for the baby. I know that my Mom wanted to wait and give it to me at the shower my sister-in-law wants to throw me, but I was anxious to get it. We had picked out a travel system so we got the stroller that goes along with it too. Afterwards we went out to eat at the Native New Yorker. Jacob was going to try to meet us there, but he ended up getting off just as we were eating so I brought his food home. We all hung out at the house for a little while and my parents got to see the babies room almost all finished. My Mom can't believe how ready it is for Nadia :)
Friday we woke up and went to breakfast then we went home picked up the dogs and went to my parents for a BBQ. It was about 112 out, but we hung out in the pool and Jacob even took a nap out on the lawn chair with the misters on him. After we ate we brought the dogs home and decided to go to the movies. We wanted to check out the movie theater by our house and we were really impressed. We saw Hancock, which was actually pretty good. Afterwards we headed towards Tempe Town Lake to see the fireworks. We were able to catch the Mesa fireworks show on the way there and we timed it perfect so that as we were driving up Mill we had a perfect view of all the fireworks while getting to sit in the air conditioned car LOL It was still 105 out at 9, a lot of people had the same idea, and it worked out perfect. It was a pretty long firework show and one of the best I have seen, it was almost 45 minutes long.
Saturday we decided to take a drive. Jacob wanted to take me to Ahwatukee where there are some awesome houses. Since we were looking at houses, I took him up to Scottsdale to look at a few new ones we have listed up there. We went to lunch at Claim Jumpers, which I have never been to, but they had great food, and even better desert :) We got home at about 3 to find out that our t.v. in the living room was fried. I was going to surprise Jacob with a new t.v. for Christmas, but he got a Christmas in July present. We went around to compare prices and found one that we couldn't pass up, we looked at the 42", 50" and 60". I told him I thought the 42" was out and of course he loved that, if we are going to spend that much money we might as well get one we would be happy with. The 60" would've been nice, but we weren't really sure if it would fit well in the nooks that we have in our living room. So the 50" it was and as you can guess, he is in HEAVEN. We didn't get home until late and by the time he had it all set up with the surround sound and everything it was almost 11. We stayed up and watched a movie then went to bed around 2.
Today will be a relaxing day. We already watched Rambo, and I started dinner, so there isn't much else to do. I have been taking my Iron pills and I can actually tell a difference in how I feel. I don't feel as tired. As far as the blood sugar levels. I called the Dr's office and asked some more questions. Turns out the first lady fibbed. I scored a 138 and the cut off is 139, so I did not technically fail the test. I am however on the boarder line. The lady asked if I have ever had blood sugar issues and I told her no, if anything I am always low. So my Dad brought up his tester on Thursday and left it with me. I have tested completely within range, even a little low, so when they call me tomorrow I am going to tell them that I am kindly going to pass on the 3 hour glucose test. I'm a little peeved that they lied about me "failing" to begin with and who seriously consumes 50 grams of glucose every hour? I feel more than comfortable with the results I have gotten over the last few days testing myself.
