Love, love, love

Wow! It really feels like forever since I have been on the computer. After 4 calls to Qwest and a total of 2 hours on the phone with them I was finally able to do a simple change on our modem for it to connect to the internet at our new house. The main problem is that our newer computer (which is still 5 yrs old) is trashed. Doesn't even want to turn on and my laptop (7 yrs old) is too damn old to even connect to the internet without a previous connection. It is very difficult not having a computer that is up to speed when I had a GREAT one not too long ago, but its one of the many things I gave up to be done with a bad situation. Anyway..... I called my brother and asked his advice. I went to Circuit City and Best Buy to check out what kind of deals are out there. We decided that we would rather have more capability than convenience, so we chose a desktop. Honestly, our laptops never leave the computer desk anyway. Turns out that he was able to get us a MUCH better deal through his work than we could find. So, our new wonderful computer will be here in 5 days! Woo hoo, we can't wait!

Our move went very smoothly. My Dad came over around 10 on Sat and we had most of the moving truck loaded by the time Justin, Becker and Lisa came at 11. It was so nice to have help. We loaded up Jacobs truck and Lisa and I drove over to the new house. I just love her, she is the sweetest person and was such a big help! She basically cleaned out all the cabinets for me, helped unpack and put things away. I am claiming her as my new best friend out here. We have always got along great. While we were busy doing that the men unloaded the truck and headed back to the house to get everything else. By about 330 everyone was back to our house eating pizza and drinking beer. We were SO grateful for the help, it really went pretty fast, and with Lisa helping me so much we got all of the kitchen stuff put away. Poor Jacob was on call and had to go out after everyone left. He had locked his keys in his work truck earlier that day so had to call his boss to come unlock it. He was home by about 9, but exhausted!

The next morning, our bodies did not want to get out of bed. Jacob slept until about 11, then we went back to the old house to clean up and take showers. The new house has gas heat, water heater and stove, they didn't come out to turn it on until Monday morning.

Tuesday I had to meet my Dad and the realtor at our old house for our final walk through. While I am NOT happy with the landlords, its not the realtors fault but I did just have to tell him what I thought of them. My Dad also served them with a demand letter for our deposit. AZ state law says they cannot keep it. I haven't heard anything from them but they have 14 days to respond. So we will see. They did send me a text message at 1030 Tuesday night saying no water in the house was difficult to deal with since the house wasn't cleaned. I was SO mad, our walk through stated that the house was left in clean condition. We even cleaned carpets, which is more than was done when we moved in. Especially with all the crap they are trying to pull! While I was steaming I decided not to answer her until the next morning since they like to not answer my texts. It took me forever to fall back asleep since she had woke me up, and we all know how easily irritated I have been LOL. In the morning I texted her back saying, "per walk through house was left clean, it is customary to have water turned off when you vacate a property." She texted back, "well I didn't know you were going to have it turned off. A heads up would've been nice" I texted back again "I turned it off on our last day of tenancy, it is your job to call and make sure it is on in your name"
I'm sorry, is this lady for real? Can she really be so stupid as to not know when her renter leaves they are going to take water and utilities out of their name? I mean it even states on the lease that the tenant is responsible for making sure water and utilities are turned on the day you enter the property and turned off the day you vacate. Well, you know I had to rant about something! LOL really though, I have been feeling a lot better. Emotional yes, but not as ill and I LOVE that. I still have not gained any weight, but I have a little baby belly. I just can't wait until I can start feeling our little one. We are pretty excited about our ultrasound on Saturday. I just wish I was far enough along to tell what we are having!
