The good, the bad and the ugly.

Life certainly seems to have taken a turn for the better lately, which we are so thankful for. There is just one problem. My little companion, that has been there with me through a lot, isn't going to make it much longer. We have tried to do what we can for Howie, he would seem to do better and then regress. He won't eat, I am giving him water by syringe but he is just so skinny. He was always underweight and I'm sure that has a lot to do with how fast this all happened. So while life around us seems like it can't be better I am struggling with a very big loss. I'm not sure I know how to cope being I am on the fragile side as it is. For now, I am sitting with him and taking care of him. I want him to know how loved he is, but it sure isn't pretty watching your best bud pass on.

Its so hard to move on from a topic like that. Even though we have had many blessings the last few weeks, I find it hard to talk about. Jacob has been getting a few bonuses which have came in handy paying the hospital bills. He also wanted to buy me something special since we were being pretty frugal the past Holidays. Usually I am not for splurging but sometimes you have to treat a bonus as what it is and enjoy it. He gets so happy when he gets to do things like that for people, it is very sweet. We also bought a new camera today. I broke ours before our wedding, you could still look through the viewfinder but the screen was dead. I am pretty happy with the purchase, it isn't very "purse friendly" but it will take awesome pictures and that's what we need with a growing baby! Nadia is starting to imitate and it is quite cute. We had talked about wanting to teach Nadia how to sign so now that she can mimic actions it will only be a short time before she starts signing back. Right now we only do "eat", "mom", "dad", "doggie", "sleep" and "finished". She has really found her voice lately too. She has the cutest little personality, she is definitely not a shy girl like her mom or dad were.
