I went in for my first OB appointment today. My doctors office is in Banner Hospital, which is just down the street from us. It is a huge hospital and we were on the wrong side so they called a golf cart to take us to the Woman's Center. There are 4 doctors in the office, I will have appointments with all of them so that I am familiar with the doctor that will be on call when I deliver. My Dad went with me so I didn't have to go alone. It took about 2 hours, most of which was waiting. They said I am around 7 weeks, but after my exam the doctor agreed with me, I am probably more around 5. We will know more when I go in for my ultrasound on the 9th. Since I have miscarried in the past they are giving me an ultrasound earlier than usual. For now we will say my due date is Sept. 21st. I have to go in for blood work before my next OB appointment which will be in 4 weeks. They sent me home with a care package and LOTS of stuff to fill out.
Jacob and I decided it was best to tell my employer that I am pregnant. Since I would not have anyone able to fill in for me when I have Dr's appointments or have the baby I wanted to let her know so that she can decide if she would still like for me to work there. It is VERY fast paced and she is so busy that she may not be very happy with the time that I would need to take off here and there. We will see what she says. If she chooses not to hire me then I will continue to work at the salon and try to find something part time that is not as demanding. I am a little concerned about the stress that this full time job might cause. Not to mention I feel like a freakin zombie! I remember working at Engle when I was pregnant. It wasn't that demanding but I was dead tired, it was very hard for me to work until 6. It seems after about 3PM I am downhill. Shoot, I've been going to bed at 7 sometimes 8 and I am passed out before 9. My back has been hurting and my hips, I'm not sure if that is normal or not, but I'm assuming my joints are adjusting.
On a funny note, we were watching Notes from the Underbelly a few nights ago and were cracking up. I'm thinking I am going to need a pregnancy pillow LOL.
