Mr and Mrs

Time flys so fast! Saturday, my sister came to town with her husband, Joey and son, Derek. It was also my Dads birthday, so we had a little celebration for him. When we came home Steve, Brianna and Ashlyn stopped by. Jacob was on call and ended up having to go out around midnight, so that cut our visit a little short with them. Sunday, Jacobs cousins and his cousins fiance came into town. We met everyone for dinner at Serranos and headed home to play some games. Around midnight everyone went home and we headed to bed. Jacob woke up around 5 to pick up his Mom and brothers, Brick and Talon. By the time he got home with them I was up getting ready to leave to have my hair done. It took a few hours for my hair so as soon as I got home we headed to my parents house. They set up the ceremony site early so we took a drive by it. Sooo pretty! The people delivering the tables and chairs to my parents house were late dropping everything off, but it worked out fine. My sister and Joey were such a help with everything. My brother Fred was in charge of picking up the food. There were a few things that we forgot and they just took care of everything for us. The day just flew by! The photographer came to my parents house at about 3:30. Just in time to watch Jacob helping me get dressed LOL I know, NOT traditional, but very cute. My mom was too busy trying to get herself ready. We headed off for pictures and before you knew it, it was time to start the ceremony.

First the mothers walked up together and then Jacob seated them. Next was Julia, who was adorable! It was a little odd walking up the "aisle" without music, but it was beautiful. My Dad did a great job on the ceremony. It was fairly short and sweet. We did a few pictures afterwards, then off the the reception. I think everyone had a good time. The most important thing to us was that everyone felt comfortable. The food was pretty good, a little dry, but I guess that's to be expected. We ordered Alfredo the dark and baked ziti from Oreganos. We had food left over to take home with us, which we were pretty excited about. After we were done eating my Dad gave a toast followed by Steve and then Jacobs Mom. Next was the cake. We were very nice to each other, no cake in the face! We tried to wrap everything up and we headed over to our house to ring in the New Year. We had a pretty good group of people come to our house with us. We brought the keg and champagne with us and put it to good use. Katy, Brianna, Steve and Mark stayed until about 4 in the morning. Actually Steve stayed the night and was picked up the next morning. Jacobs Mom, brothers and us slept until about 1 in the afternoon. Wow!!

We had a few very busy days after that doing things with Jacobs family. I am so glad that they were able to make it out. They are so nice, I'm happy to be a part of their family. We watched movies until 4 in the morning Tuesday night. Wednesday we tried to go to the zoo but they were closing for a few hours as soon as we got there. So we went out to eat and headed back to the house. Talon wanted to go to the skate park, so we loaded up the car and went to one close to our house. We stayed up again that night as much as we could. Jacob had to work in the morning Thursday. Once he came home we headed over to the zoo. The weather was great and all the animals were out. We were there a few hours and then went to grab a bit to eat. We hit the mall after that to get Brick and Talon a little present. We were there until the mall closed, came home and they had to pack. We headed over towards the airport to drop them off. They left at midnight. We were sad to see them go. It feels like you just can't ever spend enough time with people when they come into town. Especially during a busy time like a wedding. We didn't get to see everyone as much as we would've liked. Thank you everyone for making it out!!! I'll post some more pictures when I get them.
