Fresh Paint

Well we tackled the nursery yesterday. We picked up paint to paint the top of the walls since we are leaving the green that they had on the bottom. The idea was to pick a tan color for the top but turns out since it has been awhile since I have picked paint colors, I was a little off. Its brown..... Not a bad thing since we are doing a safari themed nursery, but not what I expected. All I know is, if we have a girl we are going to have to change up some things for her :) All in all it turned out good. Of course I volunteered myself to do the edging at the top of the walls and didn't take into consideration that we have extremely tall ceilings, and I'm afraid of heights! I managed but I did make Jacob come hold the ladder a few times when it was too wobbly for my taste. We got the room done in about 2-3 hours. Jacob was so excited he wanted to put the boarder up already. I told him we needed to wait until the paint was dry so we would do it today. I have to say it is refreshing how excited he is about things and how he just jumps in there to get things done.

We bought the crib yesterday too, it should be here in a few days. I have a feeling that we are going to get the nursery all together and then as time goes on I am going to think of other things I want to do to it :) Oh boy! My favorite nursery was in one of the model homes I worked at in Colorado. It is NOTHING like what we have done, so I'm a little nervous :)

Nursery sounds SO cute! I can't wait to see the finished product. What day is the big ultrasound?
