12 hours in
Just after I finished writing my last blog and we were ready for bed my phone rang. It was the hospital calling us in. So we got the pups settled, grabbed our bags and left for the hospital. We got there at about 10 and were taken right up to our room. They checked me and decided that we needed to ripen my cervix before inducing. Turns out I was already having contractions every 5 min, the nurse was surprised I wasn't feeling them. Of course it seems that every night is when I would I get them so its no surprise they started when we got there. They inserted the first dose and I had to lay there for an hour, then we had to walk for 45 min. They checked me and decided that I needed another dose, after that round another dose. Needless to say by this time it was about 6 AM. They decide that I am "favorable" enough to start the pitocin and admit me. (We were unsure if they were going to let us progress with the induction.)So far the pain has not been bad, but we are still in the beginning stages even though it has been nearly 12 hours. They have upped my pitocin twice now so I'm sure soon things will start getting a little crazy. For now we are watching movies and trying to keep ourselves entertained. We are exhausted though, we have been up 28 hours already. Hopefully our baby girl will have a smooth transition into this world. I will update again when I can!
