Waiting

After spending most of the night in pain with contractions that came and went I was so tired when the alarm went off. I was excited though because I thought, finally! I won't have to go through another night of erratic contractions that are just painful but getting me nowhere. 45 minutes before we were to be at the hospital I got a call. I was told that my induction was on hold because they did not have any beds available. She didn't give much more information other than that they will be going down the list by medical reasons and I had a few people ahead of me. Around noon we were going nuts and I wasn't sure if I was aloud to eat or not. I decided to call and the nurse was very nice. She said that yes I should eat and that she was hoping to be able to bring in a few people to be induced this afternoon. Well the day crept by and at 6 I decided to call again and ask if I was automatically put on the list for tomorrow or what was going to happen. I spoke to another nurse who said that there were 5 people on the list and they didn't bring anyone in today. She said they would call as soon as they had a bed, even if it was 3AM, but that she didn't anticipate anything would happen tonight. At the moment they are not out past 2-3 days so I should be called in within that time frame. This is SO frustrating! Jacob took time off work for this and has to go back on Monday. We were really looking forward to him being able to be with Nadia a few days and help get a routine down. So I guess we can only hope that a bed becomes available or she decides that she is ready to come on her own. Either way, I hope something happens soon!
