Im ready!!!

I got a bonus at work yesterday for doing such a good job. Honestly, I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary. I have to admit that it is nice to get recognition. The more I think about it the more I think I will stay and work with them after Nadia comes. They treat me well, pay me well and actually appreciate me. That is pretty hard to come by. We had Oregano's for dinner last night, which is our absolute favorite! I feel bad for Jacob he has been working very late this week and is sick on top of it. Almost everyone from his work that went to the bbq got sick, I don't know how I managed not to get it, but I'm thankful!

I'm ready for Nadia to come, but I guess she is just too comfy! I have been having more and more contractions, mostly at night while trying to sleep. So I guess my body is getting ready. She is also starting to move around less, which they say is a sign that they are getting ready to come. Yesterday I was having pains all day, but they subsided by last night. Today I haven't felt anything except back pain. I'm sure that has to do with all of the crazy cleaning I have been doing though. I just felt like I HAD to get some things done around the house. Secretly I was hoping that the activity would help bring on labor. No such luck! I swept, mopped, vacuumed, did laundry, cleaned the guest room, kitchen, bathrooms, our room. The only thing I got out of it is a sore back. Jacob is at work and has called me a few times. He told me I need to just relax, I'm too pregnant to be doing all of this stuff. I do feel better that the house is clean though for when she comes. I can't stand a dirty house and I know once she comes I will have very little time to worry about it. It is so hard to keep our hardwood floors clean with all of Dax's hair and slobber. It takes over an hour to just do the floors. I miss having carpet everywhere!

I have also been trying acupressure on a few key points to try to speed things along. Of course they say that itt can help, but still won't work unless your body is ready. I keep reading about people taking castor oil to induce labor on my baby board and while it sounds a little tempting there is no way I am going there! It can have some side effects that I'm not sure I really want to deal with LOL. I have my ultrasound Monday, so maybe I will have some more info then. I don't know how I feel about being induced, I have heard bad things about pitocin. I guess we will just see what happens.....

Yeah I think castor oil is pretty stupid. I think that if your body was already in the early stages of labor, it would speed it along. If it is not, it could be pretty bad. LOL. I had to get pitocin because they needed to speed up my labor because of my fever. It did make my contractions a lot stronger and intense. I would just pray that your water breaks or that you go into labor on your own and don't need pitocin. I have heard of people never going into labor on their own. Once you hit 42 weeks they are going to have to induce you. I will start praying for some water breakage!!! LOL Please text me if you are having consistent contractions or anything new happens!
